Other Comb-footed web-building spiders

Comb-footed spiders include Redbacks and a number of spiders of similar shape, but often different colour and pattern, that occupy our houses. A diverse native fauna occurs throughout Australia.

These spiders readily feed on ants.

  • Red House spider (Nesticodes rufipes)
  • Silver teardrop spider (Argyrodes antipodiana)
